Temple committee’s encroachment of the temple area as if it is parental inherited property – ill effect of government takeover

Pandharpur : Stalls with title of Chairman of temple committee Anna Dange and his education societies were put in the temple area in the night of 5th May. Shopkeepers in the area kept their shops closed and demanded to remove such encroachment of stalls which are causing trouble for the traffic (O Hindus, In Hindu Rashtra the temples will be released from the clutches of government and will be given in the custody of devotees ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

1. On 5th May during night time anonymous people 10 square feet stalls near Choufala, Mahadwar and west gate (Paschimi Darawaja). These temples had hoardings of names of Shri Vitthal Mandir Samiti, Shri Anna Dange and his education society

2. On 6th May morning when the traders in the area of the temple noticed this encroachment they kept their shops closed to protest against this encroachment (O Traders, Continue your fight in a legal way till this conspiracy against you stops completely ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

3. These traders decided to continue the protest till the corporation does not remove these stalls.  When the situations was going out of control chief officer Shankar Gore, Police sub inspector Prashant Kadam, Police superintendent Balasaheb Reddy called for a meeting with these traders and appealed them to calm down. (Instead of asking these traders to calm down, why Government and police officials are not taking any action against the people involved in encroachment through these stalls ? This means even these police officials are working under the pressure of Mandir Samiti. Would we ever get justice from such Police ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

4. In this meeting mainly Shri Vivek Benare, corporator Shailesh Badve, Shivsena city head Sandeep Kendale, news reporter Mahesh Khiste, Sanjay Waikar put across their points.

Mandir Samiti’s encroachment fits in which law

If a trader encroaches, corporation and Police remove them. The traders questioned “then encroachment of Anna Dange is valid under which section,” and demanded removal of these stalls. Traders expressed their disappointment as none of the responsible members of Mandir Samiti was present for this meeting and adjourned the meeting. (There is no other option than to remove these officials of Mandir Samiti who do not have any respect for the public emotions ! – Editor, Daily Sanatan Prabhat) All shops were kept closed on 6th May. In evening when the stalls were moved to Choufala by removing police observation towers there; shops were opened normally; but question of encroachment is still pending. (O traders, do not get fooled by these partial action, do not stop till the entire encroachment is removed ! – Editor, Daily Sanatan Prabhat)
