Effect of the awareness created by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti !

Tobacco packets are being distributed by a big well known company, Hasmukh Tobacco Surat. A picture depicting Deity Hanuman flying in the sky carrying the Dronagiri mountain on the hand used to be printed on the packets of the tobacco. Taking cognisance of this denigration, pictures showing the empty packs thrown in the places like garbage, toilets etc. after its consumption and a representation opposing the denigration, the company was asked on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to stop the damage caused to Dharma thereby. The representation stated that, it might be a crime for hurting Hindu sentiments due to Deity’s pictures thrown in garbage and that might also affect adversely Company’s business. As soon as the letter was received by the Company, their legal advisor, Adv. Lalitchandra Sukhadwala, sent a letter apologising and informing the Samiti about the changes to be undertaken as per their demand. 1. The owner of the Company happens to be an ardent devotee of Hanuman, hence with a view to let it reach to as many people as possible including his customers and to let them be devotees of Hanuman he had distributed the packets printing Hanuman Chhap Pandharrpuri Tambakhu on them.
2. Samiti’s letter has created awareness about the denigration caused by some heretics by throwing the wrappers of these packets in places like garbage and toilets, we are apologising for the same.
3. Adv. Sukhadwala has written in the letter that, destroying the wrappers which are in store, we are preparing new Logo of the Company and getting it approved legally, as early as possible.

Mr. Shivaji Vatkar of the samiti has thanked the owner of the Company, Mr. Rushiraj Tambakhuwala and Mr. Lalitchandra Sukhadwala. Mr. Tambakhuwala has expressed a desire to assist in the Samiti’s mission of rendering service unto Dharma (Dharmakarya); whereas Adv. Sukhadwala has assured to participate in the mission of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad.
