  • Issue of police refusing permission to hold demonstrations against ‘Ragini MMS 2’ !

  • Will the powerful pro-Hindu organizations learn something from HJS that strives for protection of seats of worship of Hindus ?

Mumbai : Police refused permission to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) giving excuse of election code of conduct, sought for holding demonstrations, in lawful manner, against Hindi film ‘Ragini MMS 2’. The film has denigrated ‘Hanuman Chalisa’. (In a country where Hindus are in majority, police are refusing permission to Hindus for staging demonstrations. Are these police Indian or from Pakistan ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) At many places, police gave the excuse of curfew and issued notices to activists of HJS. HJS has, therefore, lodged a complaint with State and Central Election Commission against wrong committed by the police. Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, District Coordinator of HJS for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad has demanded that action should be taken against the police, who are illegally making an outcry of election code of conduct for refusing permission.

A copy of notices issued by police to activists of HJS at Dombivali (Thane), Ghatkopar (Mumbai) and Pune are also enclosed to the representation.  It has been mentioned in the representation that code of conduct is applicable for political parties. HJS’ demonstrations held so far, have never created any law and order problem; even then, by refusing permission to HJS activists, police have denied their Constitutional right and action should be taken against such police.
