Terrorist threat: Siddhivinayak temple under Police patrol!

Mumbai: Shri. R. R. Patil, the State Home Minister informed through a written answer in the Assembly session that tight security has been provided around the Siddhivinayak temple at Prabhadevi in Mumbai. The area therefore, looks like an army cantonment.

Five senior officers, 47 officers, a batch of State Reserved Police, one mobile batch of commandoes are engaged in providing day and night security to the temple. A concrete wall that will resist bomb blast has been built around the temple. Two groups have been formed with X-ray machines, 4 doorframe detector machines and 3 metal detectors to check persons entering the temple. Cameras have been fixed in the temple premises. Two police officers have been appointed specially for supervising the security arrangements, informed Shri Patil.

(Instead of killing handful of terrorists, the Govt. is spending lacs of rupees on security arrangements ! Such situation of providing protection to mosques or churches will never arise in Muslim or Christian dominated countries!  – Editor)
