Narendra Modiji, will you free Kashi from the shadow of fanatics ?

Phalgun Krushnapaksha 3, Kaliyug Varsha 5115

Narendra Modiji,

All Hindus are very happy to know that you are going to contest election from Varanasi. It was observed from your response that you too could not hide that joy. You have said that ‘It is my honor that I have been given a chance to contest election from a holy city like ‘Kashi (Varanasi)’. Every devout Hindu has a special place in his heart for Kashi. You are a pro-Hindu activist; therefore, you know the significance of this place of pilgrimage. It is the wish of every devout Hindu to undertake Kashi pilgrimage at least once in his life. Vishwanath Mandir in Kashi is one of the important temples of Hindus. Hindus feel overwhelmed to have ‘darshan’ of Kashi Vishwanath; but there is an edge of sadness to this joy. Mughal invader Aurangzeb attacked Kashi and demolished this temple to build a mosque. In 1780, Ahalyabai Holkar re-built this temple; but the mosque built on the place of this temple using ruins of the temple still stands there even today. You must be aware of this history.

Modiji, your responsibility has increased !

Modiji,

This city has acquired a different halo since you are going to contest election from here. Presently, you are acclaimed everywhere in the country; therefore, Hindus have not even slightest doubt about your winning election from Varanasi; but will you fulfill our expectations ? We know that you must have mentally prepared development plan of Varanasi. Devotees do not get proper facilities although it’s a place of pilgrimage. We are sure that once you are elected from here, the development work will be undertaken with full swing; but we will not be satisfied with just that. We as Hindus have expectation from a capable, responsible, prompt and mainly a pro-Hindu candidate like you. Had any other candidate was decided by BJP to contest from here, we would not have raised this issue; but we know that you only have the guts to fulfill this special demand of Hindus. It is our first demand that Kashi Vishwanath Temple be freed from the clutches of fanatics. Presently, Hindus have to go through the punishment of listening to ‘azan’, five times during the day hooted from ‘Myanvapi mosque’ adjacent to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Is it not desecration of the most sacred pilgrimage place of Hindus ? Riots are taking place in Varanasi since Samajwadi Party’s Government has been sworn in Uttar Pradesh. Your responsibility has, therefore, increased considering all the above issues. You will become Prime Minister and Varanasi will be seen as ‘Constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’. We are sure that you will give a face-lift to Varanasi as per your reputation of ‘Vikas-Purush’.

Not development but temple is wanted !

Even then, we will not be satisfied with development work. Hindus’ places of pilgrimage are cultural centres. Kashi is a home of Hindu scholars. It is a centre of cultural and ideological exchange of views of Hindus. Atmosphere at such holy place has to be ‘sattvik’ and full of ‘chaitanya’; but the present situation is totally opposite. There are Alamgiri, Ganj- E- Shahidan, Chaukhamba etc. mosques in Kashi. You will realize from these names that the mosques were built by the Mughal invaders. Such mosques built by destroying Hindus’ temples at Hindus’ sacred places are a blot on Hindus’ identity. Modiji, you may carry out several development schemes in Kashi; but if you do not free our holy place of pilgrimage from the clutches of fanatics, all developmental work would have no value. In fact, it is ok if you do not take up any development work; but carry out the duty towards Dharma of removing the shadow of fanatics over Kashi, you will get Hindus’ good wishes for whole of your life !

Modiji, carry on the legacy of Sardar Patel of ‘Hindutva’ !

Modiji, you consider Sardar Patel as your ideal and you have said time and again that you will carry on his legacy. Sardar Patel was a Congressman; but his pro-Hindu views were never hidden. He did not care for opposition of the then Prime Minister Nehru and revived temple of ‘Sorati Somnath’. It is the wish of all Hindus that you should carry on his legacy and free Varanasi from the shadow of ‘Mlenchha (fanatics)’.

Modiji, if you take up this matter seriously, you can definitely fulfill these wishes of Hindus. We only hope that you do not throw these demands in a trash – bin and disappoint all Hindus !
