Indore : H. H. Ramanand Maharaj, source of inspiration of Sanatan Sanstha renounces His body

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) : H.H. Ramanand Maharaj of Indore, successor of H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj renounces His body at 3.30 am on 11th March 2014 in Bhaktavatsalya Ashram, Indore. He was 90. He was suffering from lung ailment for last few years. He was Guru-bandhu of H.H. Dr. Jayant Athavale. His devotees are spread in a large number, in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Vishakhapattanam etc. His body will be kept for the whole day on 11th March in Bhaktavatsalya Ashram for devotees to pay their last homage. Last rites on His body will be performed on 12th March in Mukti Dham crematorium, in Rambag, Indore. His funeral will start at 9 am from Ashram. This information was given by Shri. Anil Jog of Bhaktavatsalya Ashram.

Biography of H.H. Ramanand Maharaj

Original name of H.H. Ramanand Maharaj is Shri. Ramchandra Lakshman Nirgudkar. He was an ardent patriot. Therefore, He resigned his job to take up full time pracharak of Rashtriya Svayamsevak Sangh. He worked hard for Sangh between the year 1948 to 1964. H.H. Ramanand Maharaj devoted Himself for performing seva of H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj for 40 years. H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj became pleased with seva, sacrifice, devotion and loyalty of H.H. Ramanand Maharaj and hence said, 'There can be many Bhaktarajs, but a disciple like Ramaji would be rare'.
