Pujya Fakkad Baba gives up his body after starting hunger strike to protest demolition of Shiva Temple’s marquee by Forest Dept

Phalgun Shuklapaksha 7, Kaliyug Varsha 5115

Hindus should know that powerful pro-Hindu organizations would do nothing against such incident and get united to fight, in lawful manner, against this injustice !

Will it be a surprise if Hindus take law in their hands against secular rulers, police and administration who are keen to eliminate Hindu Saints ?Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat

Thane :Pujya Raghunandangiri Maharaj a.k.a ‘Fakkad Baba’ was looking after the management of Gangeshwar Temple and surrounding premises located on a hill in Wagle Estate area. Marquee erected on the occasion of ‘Mahashivaratri’ and one room near the temple was demolished by Forest Department. Pu. Raghunandangiri Maharaj started hunger strike to protest against such action and consequently, he gave up his physical body on 2nd March at 7.00 a.m. Hindus are expressing grief over the happening. ( Pu. Raghunandangiri Maharaj was a Hindu; therefore, his marquee was destroyed by Forest Department. Will the Government let any mullah- maulavi or bishop die for his demands ? The Government, showering every facility over fanatic Muslims even before it is demanded, lets Hindu Saints die doing injustice to them. Hindu Rashtra is the only solution for bringing change in this situation ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat )

1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had performed ‘puja’ of this ‘Shiva-linga’. Pu. Raghunandangiri Maharaj, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was looking after it since 1965.

2. A small ‘kuti (hut)’, ‘gou-shala’, room to keep fodder built by Pu. Raghunandangiri Maharaj was demolished by Forest Department in May 2013 with the help of squad of 500 people. ( If such thing had happened in case of a Saint of non-Hindus, reactions to the incident would have been received from all over the world; but Hindus are ignorant of such things as ‘Kshatra-Tej’ is missing in them ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat )

3. Big festival is arranged here every year on the occasion of ‘Mahashivaratri’. 20-25,000 devotees visit this temple for ‘darshan’.

4. This year, marquee was erected near the temple for ‘Mahashivaratri’; but Forest Department destroyed it claiming it to be unauthorized. ( Forest Department is not bothered about smuggling, tree-cutting taking place in unauthorized manner in forests; but it is prompt in taking action against marquee of Hindus. Hindus need to take note of such things ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat )

5. Pu. Raghunandangiri Maharaj had given up food to protest against this incident; but neither the Forest Department nor the Government paid attention to the same and he had to give up his life. ( Today, Hindu Saints have to sacrifice their life for purification of River Ganga, for demand of ban on cow-slaughter and now, for an occasional festival, Hindu Saint lost his life; but the thick-skinned rulers are indifferent and it is very shameful for Hindus in this country where Hindus are in majority ! Will Hindus realize and become active now ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat )

Background of Pujya Raghunandangiri Maharaj

He had served army for some time and exhibited his bravery in a war; after which he turned to spirituality. He was originally from Uttar Pradesh. He had built Kalika Temple, gou-shala etc. near Gangeshwar Temple. He was not extended any facility by the State Government in the area of temple. He lived with the help of a solar lamp donated by a devotee and led a very detached life. He had 45 cows in gou-shala and looked after them till end.

Other incidents

1. Hindu Saint Swami Nigamanand had to sacrifice his life for the mission of purifying River Ganga when he undertook fast for 110 days.

 2. Swami Lakshmananand Saraswati was killed by Maoist Christians in Odesha when he was fighting against conversions.

3. Hindu Saints who are fighting against corruption, conversions etc.are facing similar attacks.

Lack of unity amongst Hindus is leading to harassment of their Saints; therefore, Hindus need to unite to stop such things !
