Mumbai – Some anti-social fanatics are conspiring to seize Pandavwada (Erandol, Jalgaon, Maharashtra), the ancient historical treasure of Mahabharat period. Despite being declared by the National Archaeological Department as atreasure, illegal construction is being carried out there. The Archaeological Department is ignoring this serious matter like causing harm to the historical monument and efforts to gain possession over the same. People are very serious about this issue and they are going to protest from various places in Maharashtra on behalf of HJS and likeminded organisations demanding demolition of the illegal construction and conservation of Pandavada keeping in mind that it is a national treasure; they are also asking to keep it open for all Hindus. There is a demand to close the cow slaughter house at Shirsoli also.

This agitation will begin with a grand Morcha in Jalgaon on 1st March at 9.30 am. The Morcha will commence from Shyamprasad Mukerji Udyan in Jalgaon. It will proceed via Tower Chowk, Shivtirth Maidan, Swatantrya Chowk, to Collector’s office. Thereafter awareness regarding this issue will be created in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Panvel, Phaltan, Ratnagiri, Solapur and Belgao on behalf of Rashtriy Hindu Andolan through the mediums of agitation, dharana, meetings etc. Samiti has invited patriots and citizens valuing culture (Sanskrutipremi) to participate in the andolan in large numbers on 3rd on Azad Maidan from 3 to 5 pm.
