HJS participates in the Pongal program and saffron flag hoisting of Hindu Makkal Munnani

Chennai : On the auspicious day of Pongal, a special program and saffron flag hoisting in 4 places was organised by Hindu Makkal Munnani in Pulianthope, a suburb in North Chennai. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti was also invited to participate in that program. Pulianthope is a slum area predominantly where conversion is going on continuously. On the day of pongal a muslim program celebrating the birth anniversary of Nabigal Nayagam was going on simultaneously nearby. The police initially refused to give permission for this hindu program on that day. Later when the activists insisted they had to give permission. 

Shri.Radhakrishnanji, President of Hindu Makkal Munnani distributed free notebooks, pencils, water-bottles etc to all the slum children present during the function. Simple Dharmacharan (Practicing Dharma) matters were told to them by the HJS activists. All the children participated enthusiastically. Shri Radhakrishnanji told that such regular satsangs is the need of the hour in such slum areas and requested HJS to conduct satsangs for those children regularly.Around 60 children and youth participated in the program.
