Undemocratic things going on under the veil of democratic governance in India !

Margashirsha Krushnapaksha 12, Kaliyug Varsha 5115

  1. Passing anti-superstitions Act, that could not be passed for the past 18 years owing to opposition by Hindus, was thrust upon Hindus through an Ordinance which was dictatorship and not democracy.
  2. Congress Government had decided to pass the anti-superstitions Bill by using ‘whip’ method for its MLAs,  without giving scope to opposition. It is the sign of dictatorship and not democracy.
  3. Now, the Congress Government has passed the Act without holding discussions in either of the Houses; on the basis of barbaric majority. It is not democratic but majority-based governance.
  4. If an Act is passed on the basis of majority; where is the need for Opposition parties ? This incident shows that in India, a party having majority, can dictate terms in democratic States. It is not democracy but it is monopoly.
  5. Henceforth, instead of MLAs from Opposition parties, let there be MLAs of only ruling party in Legislative Assembly so that such undemocratic governance will at least save people’s hard earned money spent on Opposition party MLAs.
