Maharashtra Legislative Assembly finally passed the controversial ‘anti-superstitions Ordinance (Ordinance for eradication of undesirable and dreadful customs and black magic prohibition, 2013)’. Many oppressive provisions of this Act were withdrawn due to severe opposition by Warakaris, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sanatan Sanstha and other pro-Hindu activists for the past 9 years. The Act has, therefore, become ineffective and is on its death-bed. Devout Hindus should, therefore, now get ready to bury it permanently. ANiS may not believe in rites performed after death; but religious Hindus have faith; therefore, there is no doubt that religious Hindus would certainly bury the Act permanently !’
