Questions asked by seekers to Puri Shankaracharya and guidance given by Him !

On 20th November, at Devad (Taluka Panvel), guidance by Purvanmay Govardhan Puri Pithadheeshwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati Maharaj was organised from 12.00 noon to 1.00 p.m. Given below are few questions asked by seekers and answers given by him.

1. It is unfortunate that rulers of this country emulate western culture !

Question : The education system in India is against Hindu culture. What exactly should be done for education system to be based on our culture ?

Swami : In Indian culture, festivals, marriage ceremony, education, commerce, management, science etc. things are associated with Dharma. We should have faith in such Vedic Arya Sanskruti; establish it and abide by it; but our rulers are not interested in imparting education based on Hindu culture; in fact, it is very unfortunate that the rulers emulate western culture. Swami Vivekananda had impressed the whole world with his spiritual thinking which proves that if thoughts about Indian culture are spread all over the world, it will certainly make a difference. The rulers are, however, opposing propagation of spiritual thoughts. What is politics, business system and governance system ? Our people have no time to think about it from both angles. In the present computer age, India is in forefront only in ideological revolution and she has always been victorious. People, who are directionless, are coming to India from all over the world to study Indian culture.

2. Governance should be based on culture !

Question : India is going down due to secular democratic governance. Which type of governance should be adopted to revive our past glory ?  

Swami : Governance should be based on culture which can control farming and commerce. Modern development schemes are perishable things and are going towards destruction. Through the medium of discussions, hoardings, posters, media etc. a ‘Party of Truth’ associated with Hindu Dharma, needs to be established. If we work with faith in this, change is bound to take place. Morals, spirituality need to be discussed and should be taught every day for one hour so that man will not stray. Muslims and Christians believe in the physical body as if it is soul. Incidents like registering marriage without getting married, is wrong. The whole world should bow before thinking of Indian culture that takes care of overall progress of human being.

3. Every Hindu should work as a news channel !

Question : Are today’s media secular ? They publish news against Hindus. What should be done to change this ?

Swami : Presently, it is difficult to stop media giving news against Hindus; therefore, every Hindu should become a news channel. The Government and administrative machinery is against Hindus; therefore, they will not allow Hindus to start Hindu channel. Till Hindus do not establish their upper hand, they should consider themselves as a news channel.

4. Hindus should realise their worth and fight against anti-Hindus !

Question : The Government is not doing anything to prevent denigration of Deities and Saints. What should be done to stop this ?

Swami : It is true that constant denigration of Deities and Saints hurt religious sentiments of Hindus. Hindus need to fight for preventing denigration. It is a challenge for Hindus to fight against secular Government. Hindus need to find the root cause of Government which is ignoring their demands of stopping denigration. Hindus keep quiet when their seats of worship are ridiculed. They do nothing. Muslims and Christians are less in number; but the Government listens to them. They attend their programs wearing caps to imitate them. Hindus have no identity of themselves; therefore, they are dancing to the tune of rulers. Hindus are not weak. A tiger like Hindus cannot be killed by ordinary mosquitoes (other sects). The whole Government machinery is working towards elimination of Hindus. Anti-Hindus are trying to throttle Hindus as Hindus have lot of importance in the world. Hindus need to realise their worth to stop this and fight against anti-Hindus.
