Madurai (Tamilnadu) : We will not allow the History to repeat at Tirupati and will not allow another Aurangzeb or Babur to create trouble at this Holy place. Bharat is a Hindu Nation and we will never allow the ill thoughts of those, willing to make Bharat a Islamic Country, to take shape in this Nation. These were the words spoken by Shri. Vinayak Shanbhag of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at the protest near Saint Thiruvalluvar Statue in Madurai City.

Senior Hindu Leader and Former ABVP State Secretary Shri. Adhiseshan asked the Central and AP Government that how they gave permission to a Islamic University without even taking all legal and cultural facts into consideration.

Hindus all over Madurai city are furious with the Central and Andhra Pradesh Congress Government. The question doing rounds in Madurai city is how did the Government allow a Islamic University in foremost Religious place of Hindus i.e. Tirupati ! The anger and sorrow of people took the form of protest in Madurai city today. Leaders belonging to 12 different Hindu Organisations joined hands today with Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to protest the Islamic University in Tirupati.

Senior Hindu Leader Shri. Adhiseshan, Shri. Parthasarathy of Hindu Youth Federation, Shri. Senthil of ABVP, Shri. Solaikannan of Hindu Makkal Katchi, Shri. Mutturaj of Makkal Munnetra Katchi, Shri. Annadurai of Hindu Maha Sabha, Advocate Sundaravadivel of Hindu temple protection Committee, Shri. Prabhu of Hindu Munnani, Shri. Veeramani of Bharat Sena, Shri. Kalidas of Hindu Vikas Commission, Smt. Krushnaveni of Sanatan Sanstha and members of RSS, BJP and Hindu Manavar Sangham, came together under the auspices of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to protest the construction of Islamic University in Tirupati.

After the protest a Memorandum to ban the Islamic University in Tirupati was given to the Madurai District Collector Shri. L. Subramaniam at the Madurai Collecterate.

Special Features :

1.Senior Hindu Leader Shri. Chinmaya Somasundaram of Hindu Manavar Sangham made all efforts to get Police permission for the protest.

2.The leaders of various Hindu Organisations and the Police told HJS volunteers that for the first time in Madurai we saw so many Hindu Organisation leaders coming together to protest which is a good sign of Hindu Unity.

3.Later, the leaders of Hindu Organisations told HJS volunteers that they were ready to come to Tirupati to show their solidarity and help in stopping the Islamic University.

4.Though Hindu Leaders in Madurai have been the target of Banned Islamic Terrorist Outfit Al-Umma, the zeal and confidence of various Hindu Leaders was visible at the protest.

5.Shri. Solaikannan of Hindu Makkal Katchi and Shri. Parthasarathy of Hindu Youth Federation helped the HJS volunteers in organizing the protest within a short span of time.
