Tirupati : In a hall packed with more than 40 media men belonging to all State Media channels & Newspapers in Tirupati Press Club Hall, Shri. Chetan Janardan, State Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti briefed the media on Nationwide protest undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti & like-minded Hindu Organisations against the Islamic University in Tirupati.

Shri. Chetan Janardan told the media that a photocopy of copper plate belonging to the Lord Vishnu Temple (now in ruins) was given to HJS by Shri. Krishna Reddy. The Copper plate grant was published in the “Tirupati Devasthanam Journal, Volume 1, Part 1“ by the Late renowned research scholar Manavalli Ramakrushna Kavi in August 1932. The copper plate states that the Land was donated to Famous Telugu Saint Annamacharya and later his 4th grandson built a temple in the same place. This same temple land is acquired by Heera Islamic University trust without any proper consultation with religious authorities. Looking at the silence of the A.P. State Government on this issue, it is now becoming clear that Government is hand in hand with the people behind Heera Islamic University. He said that on the background of this issue and to unite Hindus a District level Hindu Convention has been organized by HJS at Vishwam School Campus in Tirupati. This convention will decide the further action to be taken with regard to the Islamic University in Tirupati.

Mahesh of Tirupati, Kadapa Ramakrishna Rao, Trustee of Varasiddhi Vinayak Alayam took part in this Press Meet. More than 15 pro-devout hindus participated in this press meet to support HJS District Convention in Tirupati.
