If Hindus do not fight now we may see a masjid built near Tirupati Temple ! – Smt. Uma Ravichandran

Arani (Tamil Nadu) – It is a conspiracy of eradicating Hindu culture, temples and places of pilgrimage behind construction of Islamic university at Tirupati. Babur constructed mosque in place of Sriram ‘janmabhoomi’ in Ayodhya, Aurangzeb built mosques near Kashi-Vishwanath temple and near Srikrushna Mandir in Mathura. If we do not oppose Islamic university, Tirupati temple will be converted to mosque. The above opinion was expressed by Sou. Uma Ramchandran of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during demonstrations held by HJS on 20th October to oppose Islamic university. More than 75 representatives of various organisations and political parties like Shiv Sena, Hindu Munnani, BJP, RSS, VHP etc. took part in the demonstrations.

The demonstrations were started with singing of a devotional song for Lord Venkateswara written by Sree Janardan Swami. Swamiji participated in the demonstrations along with his ten devotees.

Highlights

Activists of Hindu Munnani Organisation took photographs of Islamic university from activists of HJS. They said that they were planning to hold similar demonstrations at Tiruvannamalai.
