HJS creates awareness on Ganesha Festival through FM channel

Tumkur (Karnataka) : Tumkur District radio Siddharth FM had invited Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to create awareness among people about Ganesha Festival through a program broadcast on that radio channel. Shri. Chandru Moger of HJS took part in this program. He explained the significance of Ganesha Festival and explained the right method of its celebration; malpractices taking place in the name of celebrations etc. to which many listeners extended good response.

Bangalore : HJS activists met Shri. Waman Acharya, the President of Karnataka Pollution Control Board in connection with prevention of malpractices occurring during Ganesha Festival. Shri. Acharya commended activities of HJS and promised HJS activists that the District Collector would be instructed to issue an order prohibiting use of DJ.

Bangalore : Activists of HJS called on the Dy. Municipal Commissioner (DMC) of Bangalore and discussed with him about prevention of wrong practices taking place during Ganesha Festival. They also requested the DMC to take action against those indulging in wrong things like taking part in processions taken out on the occasion of Ganesha Festival under influence of liquor, behaving indecently with women, collecting donations by force etc. DMC was explained about the drive undertaken by HJS in connection with Ganesha Festival and he promised to extend full cooperation to stop such malpractices.
