Effect of HJS creating awareness !

Mumbai – Life Insurance Corporation (LIC)’s Santacruz Branch had displayed a sign-board with picture of Bharatmata. In this picture, instead of India’s flag in her hand, a flag with LIC’s name was shown in the hand of Bharatmata; thus Bharatmata was denigrated through the medium of such advertisement. Activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) created awareness in the officers of LIC after which the board was removed immediately.

Shri. Mohan Shinde, a patriotic citizen from Mumbai informed HJS about the insult of Bharatmata. Then, the activists of HJS, viz. Shri. Simit Sarmalkar, Satish Jagatap, Sou. Neeta Chavan and Sou. Parab met the officers from this Branch and submitted a written representation about preventing such insult. Among all countries of the world, only in India, the citizens treat their country as mother. Many revolutionaries have sacrificed everything including their life for this country. It is wrong to show flag with LIC’s name in the hand of Bharatmata instead of the ‘Tricolour’. It is insult of the whole country and sentiments of all Indians are hurt due to such advertisement; therefore, it should be removed immediately, was the demand made through the representation. The concerned officers took prompt note of HJS representation and removed the sign-board.
