Chopda (Maharashtra) : ZEE Marathi channel was to telecast Marathi play ‘Vastraharan’ in the city and all areas in the Taluka at 1.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. The play makes mockery of Hindus’ epic ‘Mahabharata’. Shri. Yashawant Chaudhary and Shri. Tushar Suryavanshi of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) contacted owners of Chopda Cable Network and Balaji Cable Network, Shri. Chandrahas Gujarathi and Ramesh Agrawal respectively and explained to them that there was desecration of Hindus’ seats of worship in the play; there would be misinterpretation of Hindu Dharma and great revered personalities leading to hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. On hearing this, they immediately stopped transmission of ZEE Marathi channel thus the channel’s intentions to telecast the play were foiled in the entire Taluka. There are about 2,50,000 members of the Cable Networks in the city and Taluka. With the cooperation of Cable-owners, desecration could be stopped. Shri. Sandeep Auty, Manoj Jadhav, Nitin Bhau from Cable Networks and their staff and colleagues extended support. (Congratulations to the owners, staff and colleague of Cable Networks who helped to stop denigration of Hindus’ seats of worship ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
