Panvel: Photo-exhibition organized by HJS and Panvel Media Press in association with FACT was inaugurated by Dy. Divisional Magistrate, Shri. Shreedhar Bodhe. The exhibition is held at ‘Ujjwal’ photo studio. Special feature of the two-day exhibition is a short VCD film on atrocities on Kashmiri Pundits. The purpose of the exhibition is to let people know how Hindus are oppressed by terrorists in Kashmir and Bangla Desh.

Shri. Ramesh Bhole, editor of the local news channel ‘Karnala Aaj Tak’ said that we watch terrorism on TV sets; but such exhibition shows that it is now knocking at our doors. Shri. Bodhe, Dy. Divisional Magistrate said that it is the need of the hour to wipe out terrorism. Shri. Vinayak Patrudkar, the executive editor of ‘Dainik Sakal’ said that we have to first decide as to what is our real policy. We should see whether we can live as Hindus in this country. Terrorism of any kind is bad. Terrorism means to end others freedom to think by any means. The exhibition is instrumental in reaching the problem to masses.

Dr. Durgesh Samant, national spokesperson of HJS talked to the participants about the need for such exhibitions. He said, "Giving time to come and see the exhibition is a sign of our cultured mind. We have read about Kashmir issue. But there is a difference between reading and watching the photographs. Photographs make us introverts. These photographs are overwhelming. They make us go inward and think honestly. First, we should check whether we can present our views without any fear. For the past 20 years, we have been confronted with the issue of terrorism. How do we look at it? It is important to feel that my brethren are attacked; it is an assault on my Dharma. When Hindus try to present their problems, they are called fanatics. People, who do not try to find reasons for their failures, are fit to become extinct." In the end, he said that present media should also look at the attacks on Hindus with proper perspective.
