Will Congress dare to suggest such changes to Muslims in celebration of their festivals ? – Editor, HJS

Mumbai : There is scarcity of drinking water in many districts of Maharashtra and the storage of water is less than 31% of the usual quota. In this situation, wastage of water on the day of ‘Rang-Panchami’ on 27th March, will not be appropriate. Sachin Sawant, the spokesperson of Congress for Maharashtra has made an appeal to people to celebrate ‘Rang-Panchami’ by applying only ‘tilak’ to each other. He made such appeal during a press conference held at Vidhan Bhavan. (When the Government is responsible for famine, citizens are held responsible for the same and they have to even face its effects. Why money collected by elected representatives is not taken out for tiding over the condition of drought? People should take Congress workers to task wherever they meet them and oust Congress Government responsible for people getting scorched with famine even after 65 years of independence. Establish ‘Hindu Rashtra’ overthrowing Congress ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

If local institutions like Town Councils, Municipal Corporations, Zilha Parishads and Panchayat Samiti create awareness amongst people, wastage of water can be avoided to large extent. At Mumbai and other places, where there are swimming pools, these institutions can appeal to their members to voluntarily minimize the use of such facilities so that water will have to be changed for less no. of times.
