HJS demands to the management of ‘Institute of Manezes Braganza’

Panaji (Goa) :Artist Dr. Subodh Kerkar having corruption charges against him and who has hurt religious sentiments of Hindus by holding an exhibition of denigrated Hindu deity Ganesh through his paintings for business purposes, is having a programme on 3rd March 2013 at the ‘Institute of Menezes Braganza’ auditorium. Looking to his anti-Dharma background a memorandum had been handed over to member secretary Mr. Gorakh Madrekar on 1st March 2013 demanding cancellation of the permission granted for using their auditorium on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

The copy of the said memorandum has also been forwarded to the Inspector General of Police and to the Collector of North Goa. Delegates present while meeting Mr. Mandrekar were, Mrs. Rajashri Gadekar of HJS, Mr. Rajesh Korgaokar of Gomantak Mandir and Dhaarmik Sanstha Maghasangh, Mrs. Kumud Kamat, Mr. Sushant Dalvi, Mr. Dinesh Halarnkar and Mrs. Kranti Korgaokar. Artist Subodh Kerkar is going to give a lecture on ‘My artistic experiments/journey’ on 3rd March 2013 at the government auditorium, ‘Institute Menezes Braganza’. HJS has raised an objection to this programme. He has corruption charges against him with regard to selling his sculptures to the government by manipulating the process of sanctioning tenders. There is also a possibility that Dr. Subodh Kerkar might hurt the sentiments of Hindus while presenting the lecture. Hence the HJS has said that, no permission should be granted to this programme.
