While introducing our country as an ancient nation of enlightened sages and brave heroes, we don’t really know history of regions which are close to us. The so-called historians of this country have hidden the treasure from us by trying to conceal the facts of Mughals and Christians grabbing our regions or have distorted our history. The renowned treasures of Hindus like ‘Sriram Janmabhoomi’ in Ayodhya, ‘Srikrushnabhoomi’ in Mathura, ‘Sri Kashi-Vishweshwar’ in Kashi’ etc. were attacked and similarly, ‘Bhojshala’ of King Bhoj in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, the temple of Sri Saraswati Devi was also attacked. Muslims are now trying to grab this temple by calling it as ‘Kamal Maulana’s mosque’ although proofs of the place being a temple are available and the political parties are bound to take advantage of the situation !

‘Maulana’ Digvijay Singh of Congress banned Hindus from going to this temple and handed over ‘Bhojshala’ to Muslims. Thereafter, the so-called pro-Hindu party BJP also used ‘Bhojshala’ Mandir Mukti Andolan’ for playing politics and changed its pre-election policy of ‘Mandir Vahi Banayenge’ to ‘Mandir Nahi Banayenge’ post-elections when elected to power. After winning elections, BJP not only forgot about ‘Bhojshala’ Mandir; but it also tortured its own activists and putting them behind bar; it is trying to prove its secularism. By suppressing own activists, BJP is trying to retain its rule but the said movement has torn off BJP’s mask. Now, Saints and Hindus should bring BJP to senses before the forthcoming elections.– Mr. Ramesh Shinde, National Spokesperson, HJS

1. Beginning of ‘Bhojshala Andolan (movement)’

Mr. Navalkishore Sharma, the national convener of ‘Bhojshala Mukti- Yadnya Samiti (BMYS)’ had given information about the ‘Bhojshala’ movement, in brief, during the first National Convention of Hindus held in Goa. I, therefore, had little idea; but in the first week of January, he called up and informed about the extensive movement to be started for Hindus right to perform ‘puja’ in ‘Bhojshala’ on 15th February, the day of ‘Vasant-Panchami’ falling on Friday; therefore, I decided to go to Dhar and visit ‘Bhojshala’ once so that the issue can be studied properly and our stand-point can be decided. Then, I went to Dhar from Delhi and discussed, in detail, the issue of the movement with Mr. Navalkishore Sharma. Considering the stance taken by the Government and past experience of movement, thought that BJP leaders could arrest agitators before starting of agitation as preventive measure and directly suppress the movement.  Accordingly, it was planned that Mr. Navalkishore Sharma would pressurize the Government be remaining outside Madhya Pradesh. The course of action was decided as to present truth before journalists about BJP’s double standard, to explain the truth about ‘Bhojshala’ movment to Saints gathered in ‘Kumbh mela’ and seek their participation in the movement, holding press conferences all over the country, demonstrations etc.

2. Actual position at Dhar

When I had gone to Dhar to see ‘Bhojshala’, many senior Government officers had also come there to take a survey. This gave an idea of their preparations. Also, due to their visit, all security guards had gone out and could easily take photographs of all proofs of the place being a temple. With these photographs and the grace of Sri Saraswati Mata, the drive undertaken on website became quite effective.

3. Inhuman torture of pro-Hindu activists and their family members by BJP rulers

I talked to few relatives of pro-Hindu activists and asked them about earlier agitation staged in the year 2006. They narrated their experiences, making me wonder whether BJP was a pro-Hindu party. During that agitation, not only the pro-Hindu activists were inhumanly beaten up and taken into custody, but even their family members including women and young girls, were also kept in custody by police for one day and were tortured mentally. This led to some of the women becoming psychic patients who had to take treatment for 3-4 years to come out of that experience. Police had called even their neighbours and relatives to police station and harassed them. The neighbours and relatives of those activists have still boycotted them so as to avoid police harassment; nobody still visits them; but their readiness to start ‘Bhojshala’ agitation was truly inspiring.

4. Create faith in people who are not mentally prepared for such agitation

Pro-Hindu eminent personalities were asked about their opinion on ‘Bhojshala’ movement when they said that since the earlier agitation staged in 2006, was suppressed by BJP Government, people were not inclined to undertake another movement and have lost confidence. It was, therefore, necessary to create such firm belief in people, prior to undertaking the agitation. A public meeting was, therefore, organized at Indore. Hundreds of activists were contacted by going to their houses for propagation of such meeting and to create awareness. This helped to once again develop faith amongst Hindus.

4. A. Indore meeting helps in propagating ‘Bhojshala’ movement : The public meeting held at Indore was attended by Pujya Acharya Dharmendraji, Pu. Charudatta Pingale, national Guide of HJS, Shri. Govindacharya of ‘Bharat Swabhiman Andolan’ etc. This generated faith amongst Hindus. The media also gave publicity helping to reach the movement to maximum number of people.

5. Press conference organized at Delhi

The next step of Indore meeting was pressurization through media in Delhi. Accordingly, Mr. Navalkishore Sharma started approaching all media persons with the assistance of Mr. Basavaraj Patil of ‘Bharat Swabhiman Andolan’ and Mr. Manish Manjul of ‘Samartha Sanghatana’. Mr. Chavanke of ‘Sudarshan News’ channel, promptly took up the subject and telecast an interview with Mr. Navalkishore Sharma. Other media was not ready to take up this subject or some of them wanted to take up the issue on their own. It was, therefore, decided to hold a press conference. The press conference was held but it did not get expected publicity although the subject was important; however, without getting disheartened, went to ‘Kumbh-Mela’ along with Mr. Navalkishore Sharma as the next step.

6. Awakening in Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj

6. A. Movement was well received in ‘Maha-Kumbh-Mela’, kindling hopes : Reached Prayagraj and ‘Maha-Kumbh-Mela’; met known and explained other pro-Hindu Saints about ‘Bhojshala movement.’

Many Saints were surprised to know that how BJP could stoop to such low level and oppress RSS volunteers for political gain. They were shown the VCD of BJP’s misdeeds which created impact and they were ready to speak on the topic. Then, the topic was raised by Saints during national meeting of Saints-Dharmacharyas of VHP and they strongly took BJP and VHP to task which led to kindling of hope for the first time that some change could happen in this connection.

6. B.  Issue of ‘Bhojshala’ movement was strongly presented during ‘Dharma-sansad’ in ‘Kumbh-Mela’ : Mr. Navalkishore Sharma was continuously trying to create awareness amongst Saints; but the issue of ‘Sriram Mandir’ was considered as of utmost importance and nobody was ready to present the topic of ‘Bhojshala’; besides, some adversaries were trying to pressurize Saints and dissuade them from raising the issue of ‘Bhojshala’. Many were interested in projecting Mr. Narendra Modi as future candidate for the post of Prime Minister through the medium of ‘Dharma-sansad’. It was thus not likely that the issue of ‘Bhojshala’ would be discussed; but with the grace of Sri Saraswati Devi, Swami Govind Devgiri (Acharya Kishoreji Vyas) presented the topic of ‘Bhojshala’ first time in ‘Dharma-sansad’ and later, Shankaracharya Swami Shri Narendrananda Saraswati as also the last speaker, Shankaracharya Shri. Vasudevananda Saraswati presented the topic very intensely and warned BJP, VHP along with RSS about the said movement. As a result, Sriram Mandir issue was side-tracked and ‘Bhojshala’ became the main issue. Everyone felt that it was possible only due to the grace of Sri Saraswati Devi.

6. C. Shankaracharya Swami Narendrananda Saraswati of Kashipeetha resolves to go to Dhar ! : Shankaracharya Swami Narendrananda Saraswati of Kashipeetha presented the topic of ‘Bhojshala’ with lot of earnestness and taking initiative, declared about his going to Dhar  for ‘puja’ on the day of ‘Vasant-Panchami’. He tried to tell other Saints to go to Dhar. Some of the Saints tried to dissuade him from going as ‘BJP could harass him in future’; but he remained firm on his decision to visit Dhar. It was, therefore, felt that with his resolve, ‘Bhojshala movement would be successful’.

7. Abduction of Shri. Navalkishore Sharma and his arrest on false charges

After attending ‘Dharma-sansad’ at ‘Kumbh-Mela’, Mr. Navalkishore Sharma left Prayag to go to Mumbai to hold a press conference and pressurize BJP Government. Since he did not reach Mumbai on the following morning and could not be contacted over cell phone as it was switched off, it was suspected that BJP Government must be involved in some kind of sabotage. One activist was sent to railway station for inquiry when it came to light that Mr. Sharma had not travelled by that train. It was therefore, announced immediately in the press conference about his abduction and all Saints were informed about the matter. Then the State Government declared that he was arrested at Indore with arms. This showed that BJP Government had spied on his movements and as soon as it got a chance, he was arrested on false charges.

7. A. Demonstrations held all over the country to protest against Sharma’s arrest ! Demonstrations were held in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi etc. against BJP’s injustice and outside BJP’s offices at various places which angered BJP workers; but the standpoint of ‘Hinduttva’ was more important.

7. B. Efforts to continue agitation : After Mr. Navalkishore Sharma’s arrest, to stop failing of communication system and to continue the agitation, arrangements were already made. Even then, few problems cropped up. Many activists went underground and it was difficult to communicate with them; but the preparations of agitation were continued without any fear.

8. BJP’s ploy to squash agitation unsuccessful as Shankaracharya leaves for Dhar for the ‘Dharma-yuddha’

‘Vasant-Panchami’ was on 15th February. Shankaracharya Narendrananda Saraswati of SriKashi Peeth was to leave for Dhar; but on 13th February, BJP Government sent a special plane carrying BJP’s ministers and senior leaders with few spies to Prayag to meet Saints and dissuade them from going to ‘Bhojshala’. Some of the spies were going around in HJS exhibition Cell and to gauge as how many Saints were likely to go to Dhar. BJP’s leaders were trying to appeal to Saints; but all their ploys were thwarted since it was the resolve of Sri Saraswati Devi and in fact, Saints admonished them while Shankaracharya Narendrananda Saraswati left for Dhar.

Shankaracharya breaking the tradition of important holy bath on ‘Vasant-Panchami’ during ‘Maha-Kumbh-mela’ for going to Dhar to fight against anti-Dharma matters, is the beginning of ‘Dharma-kranti’…..

‘Fight given by Hindus at Dhar is the beginning of the process of establishment of Hindu Nation’, says one Saint !

‘A Saint said regarding the fight given for ‘BhojshalaMukti’ at Dhar that it was the beginning of process of establishment of Hindu Nation. This movement is the centre-point of this process. This Saint always bestows his blessings on Sanatan’s activities. The speciality of this Saint is that a supernatural soul from higher ‘Loka’, speaks through his medium; therefore, it can be said that the supernatural soul has blessed this movement. Saints are manifest form of God; therefore, with their blessings, establishment of Hindu Nation is now certain !’ Mrs. Anjali Gadgil, Sanatan Ashram, Ramnathi, Goa (Magh Shukla Dashami, Kaliyuga Varsha 5114 [20.2.2013])
