Prayagaraj (UP) : Even though Vishva Hindu Parishad enforced restrictions on all Saints to express their opinions limited to the topic of Ram temple during Dharma Sansad (Religious parliament) held in Kumbh city on 7th February, many Saints made references from the dais to various attacks occurring on Hindus. As a chief speaker in Dharma Sansad, Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati raised the issue of Shri Saraswati Devi temple in Bhojshala at Dhar, M.P.  He insisted that this temple be liberated from Muslims and should be handed over to Hindus permanently. Earlier, Shrikashisumeru Pithadhishwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Narendranand Saraswati had also raised this issue. Therefore, an unambiguous situation has arisen before Vishva Hindu Parishad to take a firm stand on this issue in the interest of Hindus.

Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati said, “The activists at that place shed tears while describing the struggle Hindus have to carry out to perform worship in the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi in Bhojshala, M.P. Hindus are given permission to perform worship only on one day of Vasant Panchami in a year. In the year 2006, the festival of Vasant Panchami fell on Friday. At that time, Hindus were physically attacked by the state Government and made to disperse. Muslims were allowed to offer Namaz. During this year also, the festival of Vasant Panchami falls on Friday. Therefore, the incident that happened in 2006 should not be repeated this year. The time to perform the worship in the temple should be fixed. The temple should be made available to Hindus everyday for performing worship. If the government fails to take necessary steps, I will not reveal now what action I would resort to; I will take it directly.”
