Siddhivinayak Trustee intimidates HJS activist!

Mumbai: Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) were holding peaceful demonstrations against the Government’s proposed Act to take over management of temples and religious institutions. While the demonstrations were going on Shri. Subhash Mayekar, President of the Sree Siddhivinayak Trust intimidated the demonstrators.

HJS has been holding such peaceful demonstrations at various places against the proposed Act. Therefore, thousands of Ganesh devotees have become aware of the issue. Shri. Mayekar shouted at the demonstrators standing peacefully with hoardings in their hands. He told them that nothing would be achieved with such demonstrations. He said that in a way, the demonstrators were oppressing Hindus. He also said, We shall issue final notice to you. Do you know what are we doing for the society? We are aiding schools; we have started libraries for children. Our temple is open for followers of all religions.

Shri. Mayekar was asking the demonstrators that why were they protesting with black flags when the Trust was doing so many good deeds. Why were they trying to provoke people? A member of HJS told Shri. Mayekar that all newspapers had published about the mismanagement of funds by Trust and awareness created by HJS in this regard has reached thousands of people.
