HJS submits representation to Bengaluru District Collector : Issue of desecration of Deities through crackers


Bengaluru (Karnataka) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a representation to the District Collector of Bengaluru requesting to prevent desecration of Deities occurring through bursting of crackers which have pictures of Deities on their cover. The District Collector promised the activists of HJS that the issue would be considered seriously and necessary instructions would be given to the Chief Controller of explosives from Chennai and the Home Secretary, Karnataka Government.

HJS presents a program on TV channel about ill effects of crackers


Bengaluru (Karnataka) : ‘Kalyan’ TV channel telecast a program devised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (Bengaluru) on adverse effects of crackers, desecration of Deities due to crackers and how to celebrate Deepavali in an ideal manner. Mr. Chandru Moger, the District Coordinator of HJS took part in this program that was viewed by about 6,00,000 people on Kalyan TV channel.

HJS activities related to creating awareness amongst people towards ill effects of crackers are commendable – Karnataka State Pollution Control Board


Bengaluru (Karnataka) : The activities undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to make people aware about the adverse effects of crackers, are commendable, stated Mr. Vaman Acharya, the President of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KPCB). Mr. Chandru Moger, the District coordinator of HJS met Mr. Acharya and explained to him the drive undertaken by HJS for creating awareness amongst people towards ill effects of crackers. Mr. Acharya informed him that KPCB had spent Rs. 20 lakhs for creating awareness amongst people about adverse effects of bursting crackers. Mr. Acharya also expressed a wish that HJS and the State Pollution Control Board can jointly undertake such drive. Mr. Moger also discussed the issue with Mr. Nandkumar, a member of KPCB who too praised HJS activities.
