Jalgaon : Hindu activists force Police to stop desecration of Deities occurring through crackers

Commendable drive undertaken by pro-Hindu activists at Jalgaon

Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : It was observed during police investigations that sale of crackers with pictures of Deities was going on in various parts of the city despite issue of a notice to stop such sale. It was observed by pro-Hindu activists that in shops viz. ‘Lucky Phataka’ and ‘Sai-shraddha Phataka’ selling crackers on ‘GS Ground’, crackers with pictures of Deities were on sale. They, therefore, informed ‘Zilhapeth Police Station’ about the same. On the complaint lodged by Mr. Mohan Tiwari, the Dy. City-chief of Shiv Sena, shop owners of ‘Lucky Phataka’ Ezaz Khan, Hamid Khan and Mehmood Khan and director of ‘Sai-shraddha Phataka’, Mr. Harish Jaiswal were arrested and ‘Lakshmi’ crackers were confiscated from them and from other vendors in the area. (Congratulations to pro-Hindu activists who promptly took action for preventing desecration of Deities ! All Hindus should follow this example ! – Editor SP)  

In Amalner taluka, Mr. Jagadish Pawar and Bhushan Hinduja stopped desecration of Deities through crackers in the presence of Mr. Sahebrao (Dada) Vasant Pawar, municipal councilor of ‘Shahar Vikas Aghadi’. Mr. Nilesh Bhandarkar, municipal councilor of Shiv Sena made a demand with Dy. Superintendent of Police for stopping desecration; after which police took action against vendors of crackers and confiscated such crackers.
