Diwali campaign by HJS : Representations submitted to Police and Administration at Mumbai

Pictures of Hindu Deities and great national leaders are printed on the covering of crackers. When these crackers are burst, they are shredded into pieces which later, get trampled. This causes desecration of Deities and great national leaders.Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted representations at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Amaravati, demanding prevention of such desecration.

Mumbai : HJS submitted representations to 75 police stations, 6 Police Commissioners, 4 District Collectors and 2 MLAs, at Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Mr. Sagar  Naik, the Mayor of Navi Mumbai and Mr. Rahul Shevale, the Chairman of Standing Committee were also given the above representation.

Amaravati (Maharashtra) :  HJS submitted representations to resident Deputy District Collector, Sachin Kalantre and District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Ajit Patil; besides to the city-President of ‘Amaravati Chillar Phataka Vikreta Sangh’, Mr. Manikrao More requesting him for not keeping crackers with pictures of Hindu Deities on sale.  HJS activists, viz. Mr. Kiran Duse, Milind Sakhare, advocate Prajakta Varudkar, Akash Chikhalkar, Amol Shegokar, Prafull Tonge, Vinod Javarkar and Satish Tetwar etc. were present on the occasion.
