Mumbai : In a song filmed for a Hindi movie ‘Student Of The Year’, directed by Karan Johar and music composed by Vishal-Shekhar, vulgar words are used about Radha, a devotee of Shrikrushna. Opposing this, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has submitted a memorandum to Film Censor Board to delete the denigratory song from the film. The producers of this film have hurt the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus for whom Radha-Krushna is a Deity of worship.

Hindus are being targeted by misinterpreting their tolerance for a weakness. This vulgar song is being circulated and played everywhere by neglecting the religious sentiments of Hindus. An appeal is being made that Hindus should strongly oppose this song and demand removal of its VCD from circulation. (When Muslims or Christians oppose any scenes in a movie under the pretext that they hurt their religious sentiment, such scenes are promptly deleted. However, when Hindus complain that their religious sentiments are hurt, their appeal is disregarded. Thus, it is evident that religious sentiments of Hindus are ridiculed in this country. To change this situation, there is no substitute for Hindu Rashtra ! – Editor SP)

In the above song, Radha is described as the one dancing, liking to go to party and movie, and her body is said to be sexy. This is a pervert representation of devout Radha who is held in great esteem by Hindus as a true devotee of Shrikrushna in spiritual sense.

When Mr. Satish Kocharekar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti contacted the office of Dharma Productions over telephone, one Ms. Garima attended his phone. Mr. Kocharekar demanded that the concerned song should be deleted from the film. Ms. Garima flatly refused to delete the song and disconnected the phone.
