Jairam Ramesh issue : Sonia Gandhi should render public apology, demands Mandir Mahasangh

October 14, 2012

Mumbai : The Central Rural Development Minister, Mr. Jayaram Ramesh made a very infuriating statement that ‘lavatories are more sacred than the temples’. He has thus deliberately hurt religious sentiments of Hindus. Mandir Mahasangha is, therefore, going to lodge a complaint against him. Mr. Ramesh used the word temple related to Hindu Dharma instead of using the word ‘Prayer house’ only to insult Hindus. If he has guts, he should make such comparison with mosque or church ! The statement made by Mr. Ramesh is objectionable to all Hindus and he should render apology for the same. The statement made by Mr. Ramesh is not just his personal opinion but an opinion expressed publicly. As such, the President of his Congress Party, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi should also render apology to all Hindus. The above demand has been made by ‘Mandir ani Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangh’ through a press release. (Congratulations to ‘Mandir ani Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangh’ for taking appropriate stance against anti-Hindu approach of Mr. Jayaram Ramesh ! – Editor SP)

Jairam’s Toilet remark : Congress President should render public apology to Hindus, demands HJS

October 8, 2012

Mumbai : Mr. Jayaram Ramesh, the Central Rural Development Minister made a very infuriating statement that ‘Latrines are more sanctified than temples’; thus deliberately hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. If he feels that a latrine  is so sanctified and important,  then instead of felicitating him, why was Aseem Trivedi drawing a cartoon showing Parliament in the form of latrine, was sent to jail ?

Here, Jayaram Ramesh instead of using the word ‘Prarthana-sthal’, purposely used the word temples related to Hindu Dharma and insulted whole Hindu community. If he has guts, he should make such comparison with a mosque or a church. The above appeal has been made by Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) through a circular issued today.

Today 64% citizens have to sit on the roads for defecation for which not temples, but Congress, that has enjoyed power for 60 years, is responsible.  It has been exposed that the Planning Commission appointed by the same Congress splurged Rs. 35 lakhs on renovation of two toilets; therefore, after making money from all pastures, they have now put their hands in latrines. This secular Government is not providing any money for temples; but Hindus are constructing temples from their own hard-earned money. As such, the Government have no right to say anything about temples. The statement made by Jayaram Ramesh is objectionable from the viewpoint of whole Hindu community and he should render public apology. Also, the opinion expressed by Jayaram Ramesh is not his personal opinion but openly expressed opinion; therefore, the Party-chief should also render apology to all Hindus; else HJS will undertake a drive, going to temples, to create awareness amongst all devotees and appeal to them to oust Congress in the forthcoming elections.
