Nashik (Maharashtra) : In the riots carried out by anti-national infiltrators in Assam, more than 60 persons have died, more than 2,00,000 Hindus have been displaced. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted memorandum to the District Collector, Mr. Vilas Patil registering its protest; with demands that the infiltrators should be driven out of Assam and displaced Hindus should be rehabilitated in their original place with due compensation.

Mr. Vilas Patil said about the riots in Assam, “I am very angry about what has happened.” Another memorandum was submitted to him for prevention of abuse of National Flags. National Flags made of paper and plastic are used on large scale on 15th August, the Independence Day. After flag-hoisting, however, these plastic flags are found lying on the roads, in gutters in torn condition. Such abuse of National Flags should be stopped. Activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) who submitted the memorandum were Mr. Manohar Jadhav, Vilas Chaudhary, Rajesh Chaudhary, Rahul Patil, Swapnil Devalalikar and Mr. Rhushikesh Patil.
