‘Controversial hoarding of establishment of Hindu Nation at Hampankatte, claims ‘Karavali Ale’

Mangaluru (Karnataka) : ‘Karavali Ale’ a daily Kannada newspaper promoting communist ideology has published in its issue dated 26th June 2012 that ‘Sanatan Sanstha, which creates communal disharmony, a party in Malegaon bomb blast and accused of spreading unrest in the country, has displayed a sign-board near South Canara District Collector’s office, in the heart of the city.

It was stated further in the news that the district administration and police department were deliberately ignoring the board. Sanatan Sanstha’s sign-board has been displayed near Syndicate Bank on the road that goes to Babutgudde from Hampankatte. The board is displayed for welcoming people for Guru-Pournima festival giving details of the program scheduled at SDM Law College, Kodiabail on 3rd July. The program will include guidance on establishment of Hindu Nation and a short play on ‘Nation and Dharma-jagruti’. It has also been stated that ‘To take part in the mission of establishment of Hindu Nation’ would be true celebration of Guru-pournima’.

In a secular country, at a public place in Mangaluru which is known to be sensitive for communal riots, Sanatan’s hoarding has been put up causing communal disharmony.

The Zonal Police Department and District Collector’s office are very close; in fact, the sign-board is displayed on the usual route taken by District Collector, Channappagauda and Commissioner, Seemantkumar Singh; but both have not paid any attention to the board. It seems that police and district administration were giving an opportunity to Sanatan to strengthen its base in this city.  (Sanatan is an organization which is honestly working for protection of Nation and Dharma; therefore, few virtuous persons from administration are extending help ! – Editor SP) Recently, media had published picture of RSS parade in South Canara Police ‘blog’ confirming ‘saffronisation’ and in the same police zone, one more controversial thing has taken place. (Karavali Ale, a daily newspaper, is digging controversy that does not exist. – Editor SP)
