Ramnathi, Ponda (Goa) : The cows that are brought to the slaughter-house are not fed fodder for 10 days. They are severely tortured before being slaughtered. When we try to save such cows, no Hindus bother to take care of Cow Protectors like us. Neither the Police help us nor we receive help from the Court of law. Therefore, there is need establishing ‘Goraksha Dal’ in every village. This was stated by Advocate Devidas Shinde of ‘Hindu Swabhiman Pratishthan’.

He added that even if a single cow is in house there is no need to bring anything from outside. She takes care of whole family. The British realised this fact and they are the ones who began to slaughter cows. Official documents on this are available. In a country that is based on agriculture, the beef is being subsidised instead of subsidising agricultural produce. This is unfortunate. Advocate Shinde added that the person who indulges in cow-slaughter should be sent to 7 years in jail.
