‘FACT’ Exhibition and its Outcome

1. Background

1A. Samiti’s objective behind in holding the exhibition

The way fanatic Jihadi Muslims have begun the massacre of Hindus in Kashmir valley and Bangladesh, it appears that they want to eliminate the Hindu race. The Hindus are killed, their wives raped and the temples vandalised with alarming regularity. At last in 1990, the Hindus had to flee their hometowns with just the clothes they were wearing, leaving back their houses and other property. The exodus saw displacement of 5 lakh Kashmiri Hindus, which was one of the greatest displacements recorded in the history of the world and it is a serious matter. Even after Independence, the Hindus in Kashmir faced heinous atrocities akin to Mughal rule, their mothers and sisters were raped. It is indeed a matter of shame that no one from the rest of Bharat rushed to their rescue then. No doubt, the then secular Congress Government worked overtime to ensure that the people outside Kashmir do not come to know the heinous crimes in the valley, and they did succeed.

At a time when the Hindu community in the rest of Bharat was unaware of the sordid plight of their Hindu brethren in Kashmir, a French journalist, Mr. Francois Gautier, was fighting for their cause. He is not a Hindu by birth, but a Hindu by karma. The photo exhibitions of the atrocities on the Jews and other races are found in lot of places; however, there is not a single exhibition of the atrocities faced by Hindus. Hence, he went to Kashmir and Bangladesh and captured the plight of the Hindus there. Highly impressed by his noble and selfless task, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) came forward and not just made a resolve to further his cause but actually strived to do so !

The SamitiHJS has organised this exhibition throughout Bharat through the medium of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas, festivals, temples, fairs, various programmes of pro-Hindu organisations etc. and thus created public awareness about the issue. It also took the subject to millions of Hindus throughout the world through the medium of its website. We have tried to reveal through this exhibition the international conspiracy to ‘annihilate Hindu race in Bharat and establish Muslim rule in this country’. I would like to present a brief review of Samiti’s activities in this regard.

2. Organisation of exhibition

2A. Which states ?

So far the exhibition has been held in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Delhi, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana etc. in the respective languages. Thirteen sets of the exhibition have been prepared in Marathi languages, 6 in Hindi, 4 in Kannada and 1 in English. In Telugu and Malayalam languages, 10 flex boards each from a set have been prepared. There are normally 50 flex boards in an exhibition in Marathi.

2B. Total venues of exhibition

So far the exhibition has been held at 263 venues throughout the country and 5 lakh 8 thousand 642 persons have visited it.

2C. Where can we hold the exhibition ?

1. We can hold it every week for 1-2 days at a Taluka place or for a day in a small village.

2. At the family functions such as wedding, thread ceremony etc.

3. Public programmes of the housing society, Satyanarayan Puja, a festival in a temple, religious festival, fair etc.

4. Public programmes of pro-Hindu organisations.

5. A national day, a significant occasion, in schools and colleges, journalist body, literature conferences as also public discourses of renowned personalities.

We can hold the full exhibition of ‘FACT’ where there is enough space and manpower available. Otherwise, if the space is limited, we can put up a few selective boards. The main objective of the exhibition is to create awakening among the people about the plight of Hindus from Kashmir. This awakening can be achieved by installing all the boards or a few selective ones.

3. Outcome

3A. Benefits from the angle of unity of Hindus

1. Kashmir pundits got solace and their morale received a boost

When office bearers of organisation of Kashmiri pundits ‘Panun Kashmir’ came in contact with the HJS, they came to know that this exhibition was being shown throughout the country by HJS they developed a soft corner for HJS. The Kashmir Hindu brethren said, “We became refugee in our own country since 1990. We became homeless in our own land. Inhuman atrocities have been perpetrated on us. Since the stories of the atrocities are reaching all over the country through the medium of exhibition, we are getting solace that ‘we are also a part and parcel of Hindu Dharma and there are other Hindus also who care for us’. This act of holding exhibition has gone a long way in achieving consolidation of the Hindu forces.

2. Development religious brotherhood with organisations fighting for Kashmiri Hindus

After the exhibitions, the organisations of Kashmir pundits and their leaders have joined hands with HJS and have begun to organise joint tasks with the Samiti. The leaders of Kashmir pundits guide the Hindus in programmes like Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha, Gadakot agitation etc. Thus they have begun to develop closeness with other organisations.

3B. Benefits as far as creating awareness among people

1. Awakening

We came across angry outbursts of the people and also the respected personalities in the society that ‘We came to know of the actual state about the Kashmir Hindus only through you. The media and the rulers never bother enlighten us with this information.’ This shows that there is enough awakening about the issue among the masses.

2. Examples of people encouraged to take action

Upon watching the exhibition, several journalists, advocates, respected personalities, ex-army men, group of youths etc. praised the activity of the HJS and expressed their willingness to participate in its mission. Journalists too gave the subject adequate publicity. In short, the exhibition was instrumental in participation of the people, who are sensitive to the atrocities on the Hindus, in the Samiti’s mission. The renowned temple in Mumbai, Shri Siddhivinayak temple, held this exhibition in its hall and thus cooperated with HJS to take the anti-terrorism stance to the masses.

4. Opposition to the exhibition and a fitting reply to it !

A. Hindu lawyers in Varanasi held the exhibition despite opposition from Muslim lawyers !

This exhibition can create awakening among the Hindus and inspire them to establish Hindu Nation. To oppose this, the Hindu baiters bring obstacles through the gross and the negative energies through the subtle. To remedy this, it is necessary that the Hindus unite and hold the exhibition with perseverance. In Varanasi, when the Bar Council decided to hold the exhibition the Muslim lawyers opposed it. However, when 200 Hindu lawyers united and doggedly held the exhibition successfully, the issue was brought to the notice of the lawyers, the judges and the masses.

B. Exhibition held despite opposition from Police in Ichalkaranji !

The exhibition was held at Ichalkaranji (District Kolhapur, Maharashtra). One of the police inspectors opposed it saying that ‘this exhibition would create difference of opinions among the society’.

A written permission to advertise about the exhibition on loud speaker installed on an auto rickshaw was sought from the Police by the Samiti 10 days before the exhibition; however, till the last date they tried to avoid giving the permission. After the exhibition began, the Police came to the venue and forcibly tried to take possession of the exhibition when the office bearers of other pro-Hindu organisations got united and thus the exhibition could go on.
