Jammu : VHP to organise Hindu Sabha on May 20

The Vishva Hindu Parishad today said it will organise a meet of Hindus on May 20 here to discuss issues related to the Amarnath yatra.

"We are organising a Hindu Sabha on May 20 at 4.30 PM at Mahajan Hall Shalamar, Jammu,in which international VHP President Ashok Singal and Jagad Guru Shankaryacharya Shri Vasudevanand ji Sarswati Jyoti Peeth and Dr Surrinder Jain shall be addressing the Hindu masses regarding Amarnath Yatra," VHP State General Secretary Dr S L Gupta told reporters here today.

All Shiv devotees, people from all Hindu religious organisations and Hindu samaj are requested to participate in this Hindu Sabha on May 20, he said.
VHP once again requested the Governor to personally intervene and announce the start of Yatra from Jyestha Purnima on June 4. Being a constitutional head he should direct the Shrine board to make effective arrangement for the smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra, he said.

VHP shall be carrying out all the scheduled programmes of Amarnath yatra in routine which shall be announced from time to time, he said.
