Jammu : Vishwa Hindu Parishad today warned the Jammu and Kashmir government of a strong response if it failed to prevent the alleged encroachment on land belonging to shrines in Samba district. "In a memorandum submitted with the government, we have urged for an immediate action to stop the encroachment in the shrines of Samba district," VHP State Chief Rama Kant Dubey told reporters here. He warned the state government to be prepared to face "consequences", if the required action was not initiated in this regard. Dubey accused some individuals and government officials of tampering official records in the Revenue department. Such people are trying to disrupt the peace in the area, he said.
