Police warn Muslims to abide by law due to strong opposition by Hindus !

Belgaum : Many pro-Hindu organizations and devout eminent Hindus had strongly opposed ‘Ijtima’ program of Muslims as there was likelihood of cow-slaughtering at the venue; although Belgaum administration had granted permission for the program. The district administration, therefore, warned the organizers of ‘Ijtima’ of meticulously abiding by laws like prevention of slaughtering of cows and other laws; besides taking it in writing from them.

Mr. Babubhai, the chief of Muslim community and organizer of ‘Ijtima’ said that pure vegetarian food will be served during two days of the program and people from any community can not only take part in the program but can video-shoot the program. He said about the program that ‘Ijtima’ programs were held at many places; but nowhere there was such security provided for the program or so many conditions were stipulated. (Muslims need to introspect in the matter. What is wrong with Hindus opposition to slaughtering of cows revered by them and police maintaining security to check that Muslims did not break the laws? – Editor SP)  About 1000 policemen have been deployed at the venue of the program to see that there was no breach of any law. Many policemen are found video-recording the program and inspecting each and every person and vehicle.
