Anti-Hindu ANS (Andhashradhha Nirmulan Samiti) criticizes Hindu Dharma

Amaravati (Maharashtra) : A lecture was organized on the topic ‘Andhashraddha Nirmulan (eradication of superstitions)’ on the occasion of Sriram-navami at Sriram Mandir in Kumbharwada. Mr. Shrikrushna Dhote, a worker of Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ANS) started citicising various rituals performed as prescribed in Hindu Dharma when Mr. Hemant Khatri, an activist of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) argued with Mr. Dhote after listening to few objectionable statements made by him; but the ANS worker had no answer to arguments of Mr. Khatri; therefore, he ran away from the scene.

Anti-Dharma statements made by Krushna Dhote and answers given by Mr. Khatri

Dhote (D) : We call Brahmins for rituals like naming ceremony, shraddha and thirteenth day rites performed after death. This is mental bondage.

Khatri (K) : We consult advocate for legal matter, go to a doctor when sick; likewise, what is wrong if rituals are performed in consultation with Brahmins who have knowledge of spiritual science and after referring to almanac as they are accepted by Dharma.

D : To protest against the death of dead ancestor, we offer food to a crow and wait for it.

K : Shraddha is a ritual performed for easy passage of soul of the departed person and is  prescribed in Hindu Dharma.

D : Astrology is an art and not a science.

K : In an almanac, timing of solar eclipse, lunar eclipse etc. are given perfectly; then how can it not be a science?

After making controversial statement on ‘vaastu-shastra’ by Mr. Dhote, Mr. Khatri gave apt answers ; but Mr. Dhote wound up his talk and said that he would reply to Mr. Khatri later as he had no time. Mr. Hemant Khatri then explained to the members of audience, “It is our experience that these workers of ANS always go without answering questions posed to them” and in fact, Mr. Dhote rushed out from the program without giving answers.

Mr. Samir Sathe of Bajarang Dal supported Mr. Khatri by saying that sacred fire is kindled by chanting of ‘mantras’. (Congratulations to Mr. Khatri and Mr. Sathe who argued with Mr. Dhote! Such devout Hindus are the real strength of Hindu Dharma ! – Editor SP) The program was attended by 25 persons; but none of them dared to ask questions; moreover, they accepted in the end that they did not agree with the views of Mr. Dhote.  (This ‘Dhrutarashtra – Gandhari’ attitude among Hindus should be eliminated and there is need for imparting ‘Dharma-shikshan’ to generate ‘Kshatra-vrutti (fighting for righteousness) and love and respect towards Dharma in them. – Editor SP)
