Thane (Mumbai) : The existing laws are adequate to eradicate superstitions and there is need to create awareness among people for eradication of superstitions; but the Government is hatching conspiracy to attack customs and traditions followed by Hindus to pass the anti-superstitions Act with the help of few atheists like Dr. Dabholkar and Professor Sham Manav, only to divert people’s attention from the number of scams and corruption cases pending against the Government. The above statement was made by Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the district coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad while addressing the press conference held at Thane. H.B.P. Shivaji Maharaj Puri, the Thane district President of all India Warakari Mandal and advocate Kiran Waykar also addressed the press conference.
Mr. Vatkar said, “Agitation will be staged at Azad Maidan, Mumbai on 21st March between 1.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. Demonstrations and rallies will be taken out in Thane, Kalyan, Dombivali, Ambernath, Bhiwandi etc. in Thane district to create awareness among people against the proposed Bill. H.B.P. Shivaji Maharaj Puri said, “The Government is hatching a plot to attack faith of Hindus through such Act. Under the sweet name of eradication of superstitions, it is an attempt of anti-Hindus to eliminate Hindu Dharma. These anti-Hindus cannot be destroyed without hoisting ‘Gudhi’ of Dharma with Hindu unity.”
