Ban plastic flags : HJS protest at Shikaripura

Shikaripura (Karnataka) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti protested at Shikaripura, against the misuse and thereby defamation of the National Flag in the form of plastic flags on Republic Day. The Samiti, in its memorandum to the Government, said that denigrating the national flag is not only an insult to the whole nation but also an insult to thousands of freedom fighters who sacrificed their life for our freedom. The Samiti urged the Government to ban plastic flags and direct the authorities to take severe action against the exhibition and sale of plastic flags. Nearly 25 dharmabhimani took part in protest.
