Magh Shukla Dwitiya, Kaliyug Varsha 5113
Dombivali (Maharashtra): A drive to create awareness among people towards preventing abuse of national flag occurring on Republic Day, was undertaken by HJS near railway station (West). The drive received encouraging response from residents of Dombivali. Members of various organizations like RSS, Shiv Sena, Hindu Mahasabha, Sree Sampradaya, Rajaji Shivaba Vichar Pracharak Mandal, Sanatan Sanstha etc. besides H. B. P. Chandrashekhar Shukla, famous writer and speaker Shri. Durgesh Parulkar, Mr. Dilip Ghag, the South district-chief of Sree Sampradaya were present on the occasion.
On 26th Janaury i.e. Republic Day, the national flags, made of paper and plastic, and hoisted with so much of fanfare, are found in torn condition on roads, gutters etc. in the afternoon on the same day. The flags cannot be disposed of easily due to plastic and are seen for many days lying on the roads. HJS, therefore, undertook a drive to create awareness among people towards the issue.
While speaking on the topic, Mr. Durgesh Parulekar said that insult of national flag is an insult of saints and of all revolutionaries of this country. There is a law to prevent such abuse; but it should be in our nature. If we are united, there will be some curb on the people who are insulting the National Flag. Mr. Dilip Ghag of Sree Sampradaya, Mr. Sambhus of HJS and Mrs. Alpana Joshi of Sanatan Sanstha also expressed their views on the occasion.
Highlights
1. Many people signed the representation by stopping their vehicles.
2. Mrs. Asmita Khanvilkar of Shiv Sena said, "women’s front was quite impressed with the HJS drive and extended invitation to HJS to hold exhibition in her program."
