Honaver (Karnataka) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti protested against publishing defaming article about the greatest Saint of India - Swami Vivekananda, in one of the Kannada news paper Prajavani dated on 16th Jan, 2012. In the memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, the urge was expressed that a strict action should be taken against the journalist; also Prajavani news paper should confess and apologise to the people. Samiti also handed over a memorandum regarding use and sale of plastic flags and urged authorities to take severe actions against seller of such flags. Memorandum was handed over to Thashildar of Honaver. Nearly 25 dharmabhimani participated in this protest.
