Lokmanya Tilak Memorial Day celebrated at Thane

Thane (Maharashtra): In the Chiragnagar Branch of Shiv Sena, Lokmanya Tilak Memorial Day was celebrated. Statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and picture of Lokmany Tilak was first garlanded by devout Hindus Mr. Prahlad Desai and Mr. Suhas Raut respectively. Mr. Prashant Surve of Dharmashakti Sena then spoke about Lokmanya Tilak and awakened patriotism in devout Hindus followed with Mr. Abhijit Bhojane explaining about the purpose of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Dharmashakti Sena i.e. to awaken respect and love among people towards the Nation and Dharma and how one can devote time for such activities and become active participant. The program was attended by 30 youth members.

Highlights

1. Master Soham and Ms. Jui Ashokkumar Patil, students from Chiragnagar spoke on Lokmanya Tilak.

2. The local youth have planned to undertake signature drive against the proposed anti-superstitions Act in Chiragnagar area during the whole week.
