BBSM activists to target politicians responsible for MoI controversy

Opposition Leader Manohar Parrikar addresses BBSM meet at Valpoi

Valpoi (Goa): Opposition Leader Manohar Parrikar has said BBSM activists will target those politicians responsible for the Medium of Instruction controversy, if the State government fails to revokes its decision by August 15.

Parrikar was addressing a largely attended meeting organized by BBSM at Valpoi market on Sunday late evening.
Impressed by the large attendance, Parrikar said: “The time has come to teach a lesson to the government led by Digambar Kamat.”

He pointed out that BBSM activists at various places in Goa showed black flags to the ministers as a mark of protest.

“With overwhelming support to BBSM, the activists will target those politicians responsible for this controversy, if the Kamat government fails to settle the issue before August 15,” warned Parrikar.

He also criticized the health minister for taking an initiative to run the government hospitals on PPP mode.

BBSM Convenor Shashikala Kakodkar clarified that not only BJP and RSS are supporting BBSM, but BBSM is supported by every political party, except the Congress.

“Only seven months are left for the election and people will soon teach a good lesson to all ministers in the Kamat government,” she said.

Vishnu Surya Wagh, Arvind Bhatikar, former deputy speaker Narhari Haldankar, freedom fighter Nagesh Karmali, BBSM President (Sattari) Ranjeet Rane, Vishswesh Parob, Dr Promod Sawant, Demu Gaonkar, Govind Korgaonkar, Adv Shivaji Dessai and Tulsidas Kanekar spoke on the occasion.
