Protest: 'Om Obama' - objectionable title of a new Tamil film

Appeal to devout Hindus

Shruthika Foundation’s forthcoming film, Om Obama, is in its final stages of post production. It is directed by Janaki Viswanathan. Its title has denigrated 'Om', highly revered Hindu Divine Symbol. Using sacred word like 'Om' in the title of the movie is insult of the divine symbol. All Hindus should protest lawfully against this movie, so that the word 'Om' should be removed from its title. Also the makers of this movie should render apology to all Hindus for hurting their religious sentiments. Hindus should also boycott this movie and other movies by Producers, Director and Actors of this movie until the denigration is stopped.

Just based on her name i can say she is a hindu i absolutely go with this campaign of go against her.The is absouletely rediculous and if obama hears it and the connection of the hiduism in his name i dont know how US will react. She should be ready to face all.

I agree. It is not right to use the most auspicious, divine word like 'Om' as a title with the name of Obama or with anybody's name or for that matter as a title of the movie. I appreciate this organisation for its commendable work in stopping the denigration of our Dharma.
