Hubli: Congress and JD(S) want to pay ‘tribute’ to Anti-Hindu M F Husain

O Hindus, now time has come to oust the Congress and parties like JD(S), which wants to pay ‘tribute’ to Anti-Hindu and Nation-traitor perverted painter M F Husain. Congratulations to BJP  Corporators who opposed paying tribute to Anti-Hindu Husain !

Hubli (Karnataka): A corporator of the ruling BJP in the Hubli Dharwad Municipal Corporation on Wednesday objected to the council paying tribute to artist M F Husain, dubbing him a traitor. The monthly general body meeting ended without any discussions.

Shivanand Muttannanavar said Husain depicted Hindu goddesses in the nude and hence there was no need to pay tributes to him. He was backed by former mayor Venkatesh Mestri even as other corporators asked them to stop their outburst.

An enraged Ganesh Tagargunti of the Congress asked Muttannanavar to keep quiet: "It’s not an RSS meeting. Husain deserves all respect." Congress and BJP members traded charges and even hurled water bottles at each other, forcing mayor Poorna Patil to adjourn the meeting for an hour. When the situation did not improve when the meeting reconvened at 12.30pm, she adjourned it for the day.

Opposition leader Deepak Chinchore and Altaf Kittur of JD(S) said they would ask the deputy commissioner and corporation commissioner to take action against Muttannanavar. "Other BJP members did not stop him from using unparliamentary words against the artist. He should be suspended from five general body meetings and the opposition will not allow the meeting to take until then," they said.

Mayor Patil said she has asked Muttannanavar to behave at meetings and assured that such incidents would not be repeated.
