Panaji (Goa): After their arrest, Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar laid siege in Panaji police station till all the protesters were released. The agitation continued in the evening near NIO, where the Chief Minister was scheduled to be present for the function to give Dilip Sardesai Memorial Award to Goan swimming sensation Talasha Prabhu. While protesters were stopped away from the venue, Parrikar walked into the function to mark the protest. He said that he wanted to know the stand of Sports Minister Manohar Asgaonkar on the MOI issue, who was supposed to be present for the function. However, after some time, Parrikar came back to join the crowd. Kamat, who was crossing to attend the function, was booed by the crowd. Parrikar said that the protests in the state would continue till Kamat recalls his decision of granting MOI status to English.
