Amravati (Maharashtra): To make Bharat a great power it is necessary to protect culture and religions. Today Hindus face the danger of non performance of their own people more than others. This opinion was expressed by H.B.P. Shalikram Maharaj Khedkar, Vice-Chairman for Amravati District of Maharashtra Varkari Mahamandal. He was speaking on the occasion of the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha on Saturday 28 May organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at Mr. Mangal Colony, Kathora Naka Area. On this occasion Mr. Girish Komervar of Sanatan Sanstha and Mr. Hemant Khatri of HJS also addressed the gathering. The Sabha commenced with the chanting of Vedas and blowing of the ceremonial conch. Information about Sanatan’s Gurukul was provided to the proud righteous people present. More than 100 proud righteous people were present for the Sabha.

H.B.P. Shalikram Maharaj Khedkar further said, “Today from Sonia Gandhi to local town political rulers have started selling Dharma (righteousness). Whatever happens to the government, Hindu culture has to be destroyed, taking control of temples, insulting sages and saints and killing of cows must be done. As long as Prof. Shyam Manav of ANiS used to talk about blind-faith it was acceptable; but now he has started criticizing Saint Dynaneshwar, Saint Tukaram Maharaj and others by speaking on the topic ‘Whom to call a Saint ?’ Faith is never blind and hence Shyam Manav should not make attempts to teach us.”

Addressing the gathering on this occasion Mr. Girish Komervar of Sanatan Sanstha educated those present on how the Congress government is trying to label a small spiritual organisation like Sanatan Sanstha as a terrorist organisation.

Mr. Hemant Khatri of HJS said, “Today the country does not need youth who can hit a ball using a bat but it needs soldier like youth who can kill terrorists with the help of bullets. If such youth who have pride for their country and righteousness people come forward to fight then within 24 hours they will eradicate terrorism from this country.”

Mr. Yogesh Malokar acted as compere for the Sabha. The Sabha concluded with the recital of ‘Vande Mataram’ by Ms. Snehal Kamble.
