Idol desecration continues in Goa !

Kudchare (Goa): Desecration of idols of Hindu Deities is continuous in Gomantak. Two out of 8 idols of Nagdevata which were ritually established below a banyan tree in the compound of Sri Shantadurga Devasthan, Katta-Amona were destroyed on 27th May at night. The priest of the temple came to know about the destruction of the said idols when he came to the temple in the morning. When the Police were informed about the said incident they inspected the site of destruction. They tried to search the miscreants with the help of Dog-squad; but in vain. Finger print experts too were called to take the finger prints. Inspector General, Alan D’sa of South Goa and Deputy Inspector General, Mr. Rohidas Patre from Kepe paid a visit to the crime spot. Police have registered a crime against the unknown culprit. Police Inspector, Mr. Sudesh Narvekar is investigating the matter.

Arrest the Idol destroyers immediately! – Demand from Gomantak Mandir and Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangh

Panaji – Gomantak Mandir and Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangh (GMDSM) protests against desecration of the two idols of Nagdevata at Katta-Amona. GMDSM demands immediate arrest of the idol breakers.
