Margao (Goa):
An appeal for stopping the conspired conversions of Hindu girls through ‘Love Jihad’ was made in the Dharmajagruti Sabha, followed by passing a resolution in this context. Resolutions were also passed unanimously regarding protection of the Nation and Dharma, protection of the temples in the Hindu Janajagruti sabha. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organised a Hindu Dharmajagruti public meeting at Government Multipurpose High School, Borda, Margao, this evening. Mr. Abhay Vartak, spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha; Mr. Ramesh Shinde, spokesperson of HJS for Maharashtra and Gujrat state; Mr. Jayesh Thali, co-ordinator of Gomantak Mandir and Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangh (GMDSM) and Kirtankar Ramkrushnabuva Garde from Bicholim were on the dais. A young girl from Margao by name Reshma is a now a victim of ‘Love Jihad’.  HJS had kept a memorandum stating that Reshma should get justice and a stringent action should be taken on Samir Sheikh, the accused in this case, for devout Hindus to sign, at the venue of the sabha.

The sabha commenced with blowing of a conch shell followed by lighting of the auspicious lamp by H.B.P.  Ramkrushnabuva Garde. The seeker-students from Sanatan’s Ved Pathshala recited Ved Mantras. Mr. Ramanand Prabhu, representative of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’  was felicitated by Kirtankar Ramkrushnabuva Garde on this occasion. Ms. Sumedha Joshi informed the gathering about Sanatan’s Gurukul. Ms. Sampada Ankush Parab from Higher Swargalok was also felicitated by Kirtankar Ramkrushnabuva Garde. The speakers on the dais guided the people present on this occasion about the need to protect the Nation and Dharma. Ms. Priyanka Swami and Ms. Aruni Gadekar compered. ’Vande Mataram’ was sung by Ms. Sayli Gadgil and Ms. Durga kadrekar before concluding the sabha. A Memorandum to be forwarded to the Chief Minister, was also kept for people to sign, demanding ‘The policy with respect to the protection of the temples, to be announced by the Government’. Looking at the spontaneous response from the public in the meeting, a follow up meeting has been organised by HJS on 22nd May at 5.30 p.m. at Lingayat Math, Pajifond, Margao.
