No water for Abhisheka of idol in Historic Sri Anjaneya Kshetra

Koratagere (Dist. Tumkur District, Karnataka) : Sri Anjaneya Kshetra in Kyamena Halli, Koratagere Taluka has got severe shortage of water with no water available even for abhisheka of the presiding deity Lord Hanuman, with devotees cursing the Government and management of the temple for lack of planning and function. The historically famous Sri Anjaneya Swami temple in Kyamena Halli has got lakhs of devotees from Karnataka and other states. The devotees complain that it is due to lack of interest of the officers, committee members and the politicians that the present situation has arisen.

There was development in the temple when former Endowments Minister had laid a garden near by. But due to lack of keenness of the officers, there has been no maintenance and all the trees have dried up. Further, a marriage hall attached to the Temple which used to have more than 15 marriages has also been no more in use due to lack of water and toilet facilities. This has added further fuel to the already existing fire of the devotees.
